Your Time Is Coming

Your Time Is Coming | August 31st

Life can sometimes become frustrating when things are going differently than planned. As a result, we begin to doubt our God-given ability and ourselves, and disappointment fills our minds. Sometimes, these matters arise because we are experiencing difficult circumstances or dealing with difficult people. Perhaps you are being mistreated, passed over, or forgotten. Before you throw in the towel, remember that God sees your struggle and will give you the strength to succeed.
David could relate to your adversity. He faced what must've seemed like insurmountable challenges. There was no shortage of discouragement for David, whether it was his enemies, family drama, military battles, or personal failure. However, His focus was on the Lord. David wrote in Psalm 37:34, "Don't be impatient for the Lord to act! Keep traveling steadily along his pathway and in due season he will honor you with every blessing, and you will see the wicked destroyed."
Notice that even amid his mess, David sought the Lord. So many times, we are guilty of checking out on our spiritual commitments. We must do like David and remain dependent upon the Lord no matter what happens. Keep in mind that this perspective is a choice. We have to choose patience over panic and or pity parties. We have to decide to keep "traveling steadily" on God's approved paths, just like David said, and in due season, our time will come.
Many of life's great and inspiring stories contain some adversity. Therefore, refuse to let those thoughts of quitting control you anymore. Instead, stand firm in your faith, keep working hard, and leave the results to God!
